Absolutely. You are welcome to purchase additional tests beyond what your provider recommends. You will receive provider pricing on additional tests. Laboratory interpretation will be included in your Zone Blue care at no additional expense.

Yes! We see children ages 5-17. They may have their own individual care plan or be added on to the family plan if a parent is also a member.

Yes, we do when medically indicated. We prescribe GLP-1s as part of a whole body health and weight management program. Zone Blue utilizes the most precise method of testing your resting metabolic rate. We will test your oxygen consumption while at rest, which is the direct way to measure daily caloric needs. Easy test, highly accurate!

As part of your care plan, testing is included. For the individual plan, this is typically deep-dive bloodwork to cast a wide net and find underlying health issues that may not have given rise to symptoms. If digestive health is the primary concern, then an extensive gut analysis can be done. We will advise you at the initial consultation which testing is most beneficial and if additional testing beyond the care plan is warranted.

The Optimize and Longevity Plan is totally comprehensive: genetics, stool analysis, and mega-sets of lab testing such as cardiovascular, toxins, nutrients, brain/neuro health, and so on. The best testing for you will be recommended based on your unique self. We also do VO2 Testing for fitness and longevity.

For children, we always start by looking at gut health, so stool analysis is included.

At this time, medical management organizations (“insurance”) restrict lab testing and time spent with patients. Often, tests are only covered if the person already has a disease that justifies the test. This is counter to what functional medicine ultimately is.

We feel your frustration that insurance does not cover this specialty, the extensive time spent with you, or some of the deep dive testing necessary to get to the root causes of health issues. We are very transparent about pricing and will inform you of times when insurance can be utilized (such as imaging tests like x-rays, bone density scans, etc).
